Goals and Vision Boards
I do a lot of research into leadership, productivity, goals, planning and executing plans. Vision boards are an extremely effective tool for truly understanding your goals, growing your business, helping with personal growth and achieving your entrepreneurial dreams. They are collages filled with images and text that represent how you see your life and business. These boards can be physical or digital, but they should all include at least these six things.
Examples From Mentors
Most entrepreneurs have businesses or other entrepreneurs they admire. They look to these mentors to help them build their businesses. Adding images, statistics or statements to your vision board from the mentors are a good way to remind yourself of the success you could have. If the mentor has certain steps they have followed, add them to your board.
What Success Means
What does success mean to you? A vision board is a time to visualize truly what success looks like. Does it mean being able to spend more time with your family, being more financially stable, reaching a certain sales quota or something else? Add images to your board that represent this success. This gives you your ultimate goal to look at each day.
Motivational Quotes
No vision board is complete without at least one motivational quote. These quotes can represent success from others or how to get past failures. Anything that actually motivates you is a good choice for your board. Use images or text for these quotes. Adding these throughout your board or as a central point ensure you always see something motivational when you look at your board.
Examples Of Your Products Or Services
Adding images of your products or services to your board helps you see what you have created so far. Images of happy customers with your products are even better. This inspires you to keep working hard. You can also add plans for future goods or steps for improving your services. This shows you how your business is growing and where you started from.
Goals
It sounds simple, but a vision board is designed to represent your vision of your life either now or in the future. Add your goals, both personal and professional, to the board. Many entrepreneurs place their objectives in the center of the board. Any example of your goal along with the text of what you want to achieve is perfect. Want to run a cupcake business? Use an image of a cupcake with a dollar sign on it. Want to run a marathon? Use a picture of someone running across a finish line.
Steps For Success
You have goals, examples, and motivation, but how do you achieve success? Many digital vision boards have infographics with steps to achieve their goals. Others have a use-related images for each step required to reach their goals. Remember, you can have a vision board for each step if it is complex. You are not limited to a single board. Many entrepreneurs have multiple boards for all the many areas of their business and personal lives.
