Guest Post Guidelines
Olinda Services explores Alignment—how we make intentional choices about our priorities, time, energy, work, relationships, well-being, and responsibilities based on what matters most in our current season of life.
My background includes decades of experience in operations, productivity, leadership, and coaching. But this platform isn’t about doing more, working faster, or finding the perfect system. It’s about helping people move from overwhelm to clarity and make thoughtful choices that reflect their values, responsibilities, capacity, and purpose.
Life doesn’t need to be perfectly balanced. Different seasons ask different things of us. We’re interested in thoughtful, practical content that helps readers navigate that complexity with greater clarity and intention.
If your experience or expertise can help people make more aligned choices and create meaningful, sustainable change, I’d be glad to hear from you.
What We’re Looking For
Guest posts should complement the themes explored through Olinda Services and Aligned, our fortnightly newsletter. Topics may include:
- Clarity and intentional decision-making
- Work, leadership, and professional life
- Well-being and sustainable achievement
- Relationships, family, and caregiving
- Navigating changing seasons or transitions
- Priorities, time, energy, and capacity
- Purpose, values, and meaningful growth
- Coaching and personal development
- Operations, systems, and productivity when approached from a human-centered perspective
The specific topic matters less than the perspective behind it.
Strong submissions recognize that there is rarely one perfect way to manage the competing demands of life and work. We especially value articles grounded in real experience and practical wisdom, not formulas for getting everything right.
A good guest post might help a reader simplify something that has become unnecessarily complicated, make a difficult decision more clearly, rethink an expectation that no longer fits, protect time or energy for something important, or create a practical system that supports rather than controls their life.
Not a Fit
Olinda Services is not a platform for “optimize everything” advice.
We generally don’t accept content that:
- Promotes hustle, constant growth, or productivity for productivity’s sake
- Suggests that success requires maximizing every area of life
- Presents perfect balance as something everyone should achieve
- Focuses solely on scaling, revenue, efficiency, or output without considering the people involved
- Offers generic productivity tips without meaningful context or application
- Treats one system, routine, or formula as the answer for everyone
- Prioritizes output over values, relationships, well-being, or human capacity
You don’t need to use the word Alignment throughout your article. You do need to write from a perspective compatible with it.
Before You Pitch
Guest posts should bring useful ideas, lived experience, and complementary expertise to Olinda Services readers. They are not primarily a vehicle for SEO, backlinks, or promotion.
We do not accept:
- Product or service promotions
- Link-building submissions
- Articles created primarily to generate backlinks
- Heavily promotional or sales-driven content
If your primary goal is exposure, backlinks, or promoting a product or service, this probably isn’t the right platform.
You’re welcome to send a brief outline before writing the full article if you’d like to confirm your idea is a good fit.
Article Submission
Please submit an original article of approximately 750–1,000 words, along with:
- A brief third-person author bio of no more than 50 words
- Any relevant media
- Up to three social media links and one homepage link for your bio
Email: support@olindaservices.com
Subject: Guest Post
Content Expectations
Submissions should be:
- Original and previously unpublished
- Clear, thoughtful, and easy to read
- Grounded in real-world experience or credible expertise
- Practical without becoming overly prescriptive
- Written for people navigating real responsibilities and imperfect circumstances
- Consistent with the values and perspective of Olinda Services
Personal stories, examples, and lessons learned are welcome when they help illuminate the larger idea.
Please don’t submit content that has simply been assembled from generic advice or rewritten from existing online material. All submissions may be reviewed for plagiarism, duplication, and originality. Any content found to be copied or unoriginal will be rejected or removed.
Additional Guidelines
Use clear headings, readable paragraphs, and bullets where they genuinely improve readability.
Images: You may include one original or properly licensed image.
References: When research or outside sources strengthen your article, use credible sources such as peer-reviewed research, respected publications, or recognized organizations. Provide references as a numbered list at the end of the article rather than embedding promotional links throughout the text.
Keywords: Use keywords naturally when relevant. Please don’t write or structure the article primarily around SEO.
Infographics: Infographics may be submitted as attachments and should include at least 300 words of supporting text. We don’t accept external embeds.
Author bio: Your bio should introduce you and your relevant experience rather than promote a particular product or service.
A Final Question Before You Submit
Before sending your article, consider:
Will this help someone gain clarity, make a more intentional choice, or better align how they live and work with what matters to them?
If the answer is yes, your idea is probably worth sharing.
Olinda Services reserves the right to edit submissions for clarity, length, style, and alignment with our editorial perspective, as well as to decline or remove content when appropriate.
