The Chaos Whisperer – How Do I Help Your Chaos?
“Hi”, my name is Lisa Olinda and I am The Chaos Whisperer. I love helping you find the joy and energy inside your chaos.
How did Olinda Services start?
I worked in corporate America full time and part time for several years. When I decided to become a stay-at-home mom, I worked my local church assisting as a Sunday School secretary and in the office as needed.
My “business” started out completely helping non-profits. In this role I worked completely as a volunteer. I helped a local food bank incorporate and set up systems. I helped an international youth organization with all-nights and local youth conferences. I helped international missionary’s setup newsletters and build their lists.
After a few years of volunteer work, I knew I needed to start bringing in money to help support my volunteer habit. I registered my business in 1997 and started finding ways to monetize the work. Olinda Services was officially born.
In 2007 Olinda Services entered the bright, shiny world of online businesses. I build my website and waiting for business. I waited a long time. When I say I have learned from the school of hard knocks, that was one of them. After months of sitting down at my desk from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. learning about marketing tactics, I landed my first paying client. Woot woot. The rest as they say is history.
My oldest client has been with me since 2008. It is an international non-profit group. They have weathered the storm of social media, blogging and weekly newsletters.
Why do you do it?
As a mom to the Fab Five and Grandmom to another Fab Five, I understand chaos. I am a business owner and one-woman show. Again, I understand chaos. Those days when chaos overwhelms, joy is squashed and you feel you can’t take another step, let alone run the marathon.
I help non-profits and small business owners by providing order to their chaos. I partner with you to find solutions to that often are the unglamorous but draining part of your business.
Do you need some examples?
- That project that you just never seem to complete.
- That billing that just never gets done but is so vital to your cash flow.
- That workbook that needs to be created so you can get that online class going.
I am going to do a series of posts that highlight some of these time sucks and how I provided relief to several of my clients.
These case studies will provide you an intimate view of “projects” I do for clients. These are projects that happen once a quarter, or once a year. They may repeat but do not demand a retainer package or ongoing monthly charges.
Stay tuned for this new series. I will start a new category on my blog so you can easily access them and find a solution that is the perfect fit for your business.
